Aaron Fonzi
    

   Aaron Fonzi is an up and coming educator and composer hailing from Stockton, California. Graduating from University of the Pacific in 2015 with a degree in Music Education, Mr. Fonzi has a keen understanding for the needs of young players and a knack for creating pieces of music that will make your youngest players sound like pros. With diverse musical interests ranging from classical music to rock, Mr. Fonzi enjoys exploring the infinite possibilities of the musical world and bring those possibilities into a format where others may enjoy them too.

   Mr. Fonzi's love of composition began at the age of 4 when he wrote his first song, entitled "You're Supreme". As time went by, he continued to explore the depths of music by playing trombone, euphonium and trumpet in band. Through his time in band, he performed all around the United States and in Canada, was a featured soloist at the Music For All National Wind Ensemble Festival in 2009, performed in various All-State Honor Bands, took part in recording an album at Skywalker Sound with the University of the Pacific Wind Ensemble and was part of a featured trio at the Western International Band Clinic (Seattle) in 2015. With a track record of success in performance, Mr. Fonzi now turns his attention toward education and composition.

   Mr. Fonzi now serves as the Director of Bands at Christa McAuliffe Middle School in Stockton, California. He teaches two bands there and travels to four elementary schools where he teaches eight beginning to intermediate bands. His experience in the field of education has provided him valuable insight into the compositional needs of young musicians as well as how to articulate curricular goals. When he is not composing or teaching, you may find Mr. Fonzi attempting to bond with his hamster, Rocky, or out enjoying nature.
